Butterfly by cloudrat Butterfly by cloudrat
This is another origami piece which I made out of the soft paper I purchased in Hong Kong. I actually really enjoyed making this model and find it pleasing to behold.

This is very pleasing to behold, indeed =D The paper is beautiful, your folds are crisp and clean and the photo is stunning... great work! :+favlove:

I like how you integrated the origami with such that background, adds some conceptualism to the piece, instead of see the common butterfly above the leafs :)

Wow, that's really cool. The paper and the placing it on a leaf like that is a really nice touch, too. :D

Beautifully folded and well photographed! I really love seeing deviations from people who take origami and make it into art - much more than craft.

Thank you. I have to say I really enjoyed visiting your gallery. There are a lot of different types of art to see and they are well executed as well.

Thank you for not only the comment but the favourite. To make origami isn't too hard all you need to do is just purchase one of the basic books from a book store and with more practice then you can take on the more complex models. I would definately give it a shot because I think you have a fair bit of talent. I quite enjoyed your Psychedelic works.

The paper is also very forgiving of mistakes. However I find this type of paper doesn't take kindly to many folds as it tends to become soft and thus can be frustrating to deal with. However it is the prettiest sort to use.

A very nice shot. I think it would look better if it were slightly more in focus.

Thank you for the comment. To be honest I expected to be flamed and shredded to bits by you. My photography has a lot to be desired and I figure it can only improve from here.

I think it's better that you photographed it on a plant than on a table. It makes the butterfly look softer and links it to the natural item it's based from.

Thank you. It didn't want to be photographed inside because it kept being blurry.

Blurry photos with digital cams are usually caused by not enough light. You might need to use a lamp or 2 to light stuff if you're inside.

I think it is the pattern. I would love a kimono like that.
